“Hi! How are ya?”

Yes, it’s only 7:30 am and I’m already letting the movie lines fly. I’ve been going for a while this am.

My little doggy felt the need to wake me up before my 5:30 alarm went off, which in my mind is a blessing!

So, I’ve had blogs in my head I wanted to post but alas, I’ve not made the time to do so. The good news is that I am finally feeling grand. Cold gone and this kid is looking forward to spring – come on March 20th!

My plan – delve into the insane 200+ email inbox I’ve got staring at me (most are annoying e-newsletters…why I sign up for all of them I don’t know…it seems like a good idea at the time. Hmm). Shoot me an email if you haven’t in a while! 😀

The reason for this particular blog is that I’m installing WordPress on my local environment. Why? Well, to test my skills at reading tutorials of course. 🙂 Naw, lol, really, what I’m attempting to do is make a pal’s blog look like their website without doing so on a live site. Novel huh?

And following two coding friends suggestions from the Mac group, I’m delving into the waters of the WordPress Codex. [Finally!!!!]

Annnnnddd, I had to quote from the page I was reading because it just hit me funny. If you are scared of the WordPress install world, don’t be – they really do have you covered…and the sense of humor is welcoming! Hence the next quote. And if you don’t see the humor in the quote, well, I guess you just had to be there. But at least check out the link.

At the top of the screen in the area called the “toolbar.” Click on the link that is your site name. This will take you to a view of your new WordPress site. Like it? Dont like it? Doesnt matter, just look at it. This is where you are going to be spending a lot of time over the next few minutes, hours, weeks, months….
